The Manual

Every chaplain receives a Chaplain Ministry Manual to keep. A member of the TCM field ministry will go through the manual with new chaplains to walk through all the principles and practices to provide a foundation to their work.

E3 Discipleship Bible

All chaplains receive an E3 Discipleship Bible that is full of discipleship tools and resources based on FCA’s E3 discipleship method: Engage. Equip. Empower. Questions, articles, and commentary are placed alongside the corresponding biblical text for personal or group study. Also included is a unique interactive video and sharing feature through the use of QR codes associated with articles and other discipleship and evangelism resources in the front matter.

Equipping Events

Late Summer: Kickoff!

Each ministry year begins with Kickoff! We come together on a Saturday for a half-day workshop. We provide breakfast and lunch for the whole field ministry team and devote time to worship, prayer, time in God's word, specific training, and planning our ministry year.

Fall, Mid-Semester: Tune Up

On a weeknight in the middle of the semester, the field ministry team gathers for a 2-hour time of training, unity, and encouragement. We provide dinner and spend time in small groups working through matters of the soul and ministry.

January: Halftime

Each January, after the glorious busyness of the Christmas season and right as the spring semester gets started, the field ministry team and spouses comes together for a night of gratitude, fellowship, and encouragement. We provide dinner and a lite program designed to help us finish the ministry year strong.

Spring, Mid-Semester: Tune Up

On a weeknight in the middle of the spring semester, the field ministry team gathers for a 2-hour time of training, unity, and encouragement. We provide dinner and spend time in small groups working through matters of the soul and ministry.

Ongoing Equipping & Encouragement

Monthly C.O.A.C.H-ing sessions:

Your TCM staff person will meet with you monthly at an agreed upon time and place. Over the course of an hour you'll invest time Connecting, Opening God's word, in ministry Accountability, Celebrating high points, and identifying anywhere you could use some Help.

Chaplain Group-Me

All chaplains are added to the Chaplain Group-Me. This is a place where the chaplains post pictures and comments about their ministry. It's where we share prayer requests, praise reports, and anything else related to the mission. It's a place of encouragement and inspiration as we stay connected with all the people with whom we share the mission field.
